Opepe is a very durable, heavy duty constructional timber. Our stocks come in from West Africa as logs and are sawn to size and machined as decking to customers' specific requirements. After a time, Opepe decking will show hairline surface splits and checks on its surface. These are not detrimental to the timber's strength but they do give a rugged, weathered look with lots of character as time goes on.
